Business Principle Number 2: Give People What They Are Looking For.

Now that you have identified your ?Starving Crowd?, the next key principle is to give the crowd what it wants and demands.

A starving crowd is so keen to purchase the things they want that they will keep buying more and more of the products that satisfy their need,

So if you are smart and want to build your home business, you?ll make sure that you can keep offering products?.. and more products or services?.. that are all related to that hungry crowd?s desires.

Once your customer trusts you, which is usually after you have made your first sale to them and they are happy, that customer is much more likely to buy more things from you. This is great, because this is the foundation for making money long term.

Remember that it is much easier and more profitable to keep a customer than to continue finding new ones. This is the principle that hugely successful organizations use all the time. They work very hard to keep existing customers by providing products that their customers want, and by listening to the customers? feedback. By keeping customers and getting repeat business, you are making sure that your home business will grow and that you will continue to make money.

Many companies offer customer incentive programs, discounts and special offers. These are all designed to keep the customer loyal.

Have a think about your own buying patterns. Do you continue to buy things from places where you get great service? Do you buy gas for your car where you can get discounted fuel? Are you in an airline rewards program? I am, and it certainly influences my choice of airline. All of this is harnessing a very powerful force ? it is called reciprocity. It means that when something is given to you, you feel an obligation to reciprocate. In this case it means continuing to buy things. Really, it all boils down to: what?s in it for me?

Remember that if you don?t supply what your customers want, they will get it somewhere else.

Makes you think, doesn?t it?

So you need to put a sales strategy in place and keep in regular communication with your customers. Make sure you know what kinds of things they like to buy and continue to offer items that relate to your customers. With all the different forms of digital products available today, it is easy to offer e-books, audios and videos on just about any topic. This is the way that any business can double its profits in a very short period of time.

It is essential that you keep up with what is going on in your market, what?s new, what?s hot, and what you can offer your customers. You can get the lastest news on any topic by setting up a Google Alert. Then set up a regular newsletter with great information and quality content to keep your starving crowd hungry for more!

RSS, which stands for “Really Simple Syndication,” allows users to deliver articles, announcements or alerts to readers who subscribe to RSS feeds. The feeds are delivered automatically to an email inbox or a Web browser. RSS also allows people to add links to your content within their own Web pages. Primary uses of RSS, which has become the standard for syndicating content across the web, include:

1. Displaying news headlines or content from other Web sites on your site

2. Improving search engine visibility for your Web site or blog

3. Automatically notifying your customers about new content on your site

Here are some tips and tactics to help you sort it out:

Determine the content you wish to syndicate

RSS is a quick and easy way to distribute or “push” your content to subscribers. Your feeds could include product news, announcements, press releases or new blog posts.

Links and resources: Mnot.net offers an RSS tutorial and suggestions for RSS content.

Create and publish your feed

Your Web site’s content management system or your blog publishing software may already have a built-in option to generate an RSS feed. Otherwise, there are several feed providers you can use.

Links and resources: FeedForAll is an inexpensive and user-friendly RSS feed creation tool. Others include Simplefeed and PRESSfeed.

Publicize/promote your feed

Include a “subscribe” or RSS button to your site or blog. Be sure to register your feed with various RSS directories.

Use tools to optimize your RSS feeds

Use RSS feed validators to determine if your feed is valid, meaning it has been translated to code so it works properly. You don’t need to know code, you simply enter the address of your feed and the “validator” does the rest.

And here is the cool thing about being in an Internet small business, your competition, you can see exactly what they are doing all the time, any time you want to see what they are doing you just look. Like I said before, once the competition clicks on your ads in pay per click just to see your ad, but they want to click on it more to see what you are doing on your landing page and your lead capture page. They look to see if they need to get an edge on you or create something a little different for themselves, because you just changed what you are doing. It always pushes people forward and makes you a better person. That is how people become such good marketers because of competition. Some people would not be that good today if there was no competition. It forces you to try new things all the time, forces you to learn new things, get more courses, learn more from their mentors.

Many people pay tremendous amounts of money to their mentors to learn all the different things that make them successful. The mentor is a millionaire or a billionaire today, but you learn from them all the different tactics that can make you a millionaire or a billionaire today. It should be part of your success philosophy in any industry you want to learn something in, just find the cream of the crop in that industry, who you perceive that gives you great value as being the cream of the crop, and pay them what they want and learn everything you can from them. It will make you who you are, so other myths that are out there that you hear, I just talked about one myth now, but there are lots of myths out there. We can prove that wrong numerous times, it is just a myth. We have told people that we continue on with business as usual and why the people that believe that myth in their head, you are out there capitalizing and making the sales that they could not make. The only industry that I have found so far that in the months of November and December that are absolutely slow and not worth doing business in was in the real estate industry. Other than that, we have not found any other things that we have done on and off line that is affected by the time of year. As a matter, of fact we have seen companies break sales records all year round just in December.

We have done many sales in November and December, even right on the holiday, it does not matter, right on Christmas Day, does not matter. So whenever you hear somebody say something that is potentially - - I mean they are not going to come out and say it is a myth, they are just going to say it is, instead of just believing it is a fact, either go get the facts, or prove it wrong, or ask them how or what proof they have. I want solid proof. And even if they do give you solid proof, try it yourself. There are a lot of things that are lost in the world just because a person believes what they hear. Same thing in politics and other areas and that is because people do not look into the different areas and the actual facts. So do your own research and be thorough about it.

Here is something to think about. How does someone make so many sales when other people are talking about how saturated a field is?
